MoneyGram is the second largest provider of money transfers in the world. It is one of the most secure ways of sending and receiving money between two accounts in different locations around the globe.
This post explains the procedures needed be followed to pick up your received money.
In addition to cash pick up of money transfers, MoneyGram also offers bank accounts and mobile wallets receive options. The sender only has to select one of these options when sending the money for you to receive it directly into your bank account or mobile wallet.
Back to picking up your received money.
#1. Locate a MoneyGram Agent
Firstly, you need to locate an agent where you’d like to pick up the money. You can easily find one by using MoneyGram’s agent locator tool.
- Open this link in your web browser.
- After the page has fully loaded, it should, by itself, display agents near you based on your detected location. If the tool didn’t detect a location, detected a wrong location, or you’d like to change the location, simply type your preferred address in the text field and click on search.
- Note the address and the working hours of the agent you’d like to pick up your money from.
#2. Provide Your Information
At the agent’s place, you’d be asked to fill a simple receive form. You’ll need the reference number – given to you by the sender – and a valid photo I.D. (passport, national I.D. or residence permit).
Complete the receive form and hand it, alongside your photo ID, to the agent clerk for verification.
#3. Collect Your Money
Once the verification is complete, you should be able to collect your money.
That’s it. Easy and hassle free!
